In the latest installment of governments forcing ISP’s to become copyright cops, Australian legislators are proposing legislation to require Internet Service Providers in Australia to monitor all user downloads.
This is in effect intercepting and censoring paying users’ internet communications all for the benefit of the entertainment industry.
Once all of the mechanisms are in place though, anything can be censored.
Who will pay for the extra work and equipment the ISP’s need to do this?
- Either the end user in ultimately higher fees
- ISP’s will start “inserting” targeted advertising based on what they know you are interested in
Is there a solution to this problem of government intrusion and censorship?
Yes!
Secure, anonymous VPN tunnel services completely encrypt and protect your internet communication from the prying eyes of your ISP.
The software seamlessly provides a secure and private communication between your computer and the tunnel service servers located throughout the United States or other countries.
Then, the target website that you want to access can only see the anonymous server, not you. Nor can your ISP see what you are doing because all they can see is encrypted traffic. They have no idea what’s in the transmission.
You can get high speed, high security, low cost secure VPN tunnel service for under $6 per month.
But try it out first before you buy (credit card info required, but no big deal, I have done this and subscribe myself).
